SPRINT Senior Care’s Vaccine Implementation Plan 

Our vaccine implementation plan aligns with the government’s vaccine distribution plan: 

Province of Ontario Phase 1 (Dec. 2020- March 2021)

Health care workers in hospitals; health care workers and residents in long-term care homes and retirement homes, other congregate care settings, and remote Indigenous communities. 

SPRINT Senior Care Phase 1 (Dec. 2020- March 2021)

SPRINT Senior Care staff and clients: 

  • High-priority congregate sites (Ewart Angus SPRINT Home and Pine Villa) 
  • House Calls 

Province of Ontario Phase 2 (early spring 2021)

All health care workers, home and community care patients and clients with chronic conditions, and additional Indigenous communities. 

SPRINT Senior Care Phase 2 (early spring 2021)*

SPRINT Senior Care staff: 

  • High-risk In-Home Services
  • Supportive Housing 
  • Remaining In-Home Services
  • Adult Day Program
  • Social Work

SPRINT Senior Care staff and volunteers:

  • Meals on Wheels
  • Transportation 
  • Community Wellness 

Province of Ontario Phase 3 (When vaccine doses available)

Vaccine available widely across Ontario for anyone who wants to be immunized.

SPRINT Senior Care staff: 

  • Administration (staff who work at 140 Merton St.) 

*  Individuals included in SPRINT Senior Care’s Phase 2 may be included in Phase 1 depending on vaccine availability. 
** Individuals included in Phase 3 may be included in Phase 2 depending on vaccine availability.
