Meals On Wheels and Nutrition

SPRINT Senior Care supports seniors’ overall health and wellness in a variety of ways, including through the provision of healthy meals and nutrition offered through our Community Wellness and Meals on Wheels programs:

Community Wellness

SPRINT Senior Care’s Community Wellness meal program offers opportunities for seniors to socialize with their peers, and eat delicious, healthy, and home-cooked meals. The reasonably priced meals at our Community Wellness meal programs are diverse: they include coffee breaks and lunches at nine different locations from Monday through Friday.

All of SPRINT Senior Care's Community Wellness meals programs are offered at low prices, are located in wheelchair-accessible locations, and are close to public transportation. Our Transportation Department also offers rides for seniors who want to attend any Community Wellness meal program. Click here to view our Community Wellness Programs calendar.

Meals on Wheels

SPRINT Senior Care’s Meals on Wheels (MOW) program is volunteer-based and delivers tasty, nutritious meals directly to clients’ doors seven days a week, 365 days a year.  MOW volunteers also perform security checks when delivering meals, to ensure clients’ safety.

Meals come in two varieties: hot and frozen. There is also the option of receiving a Wellness Box. Wellness Boxes provide clients with a fresh supply of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook, pre-cut fruits and vegetables. All of our Meals On Wheels food options are economically priced.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are also available through our seasonal farmers’ markets. These markets are held at convenient locations around North Toronto and sell fresh fruits and vegetables from FoodShare. Click here to view our Meal and Shopping Programs calendar.
